The awakening of the sea – Departure at dawn from Lipari
|
While Lipari is still asleep and the sky begins to turn shades of pink, you’ll board Eoliana, our vintage wooden boat, for a silent cruise toward Vulcano.
The air is fresh, the light is soft, and the boat glides gently over the water, accompanied only by the quiet hum of the engine and the discreet presence of early fishermen. |

At the breath of the earth
At the summit, the view is otherworldly: active fumaroles, swirling gas clouds, and stretches of yellow sulfur covering the rocks.
There is no visible lava or fire, yet the volcano's force is ever-present—an unspoken dialogue with the island’s primal nature.

The return – Cruising past the sea stacks and swimming at Praia Vinci
After the trek, you’ll return to the port, where Eoliana will be waiting to welcome you aboard for the return to Lipari.
The navigation will follow the dramatic coastline past the island’s famous sea stacks and include a swim stop at Praia Vinci, where dark cliffs meet turquoise waters--
a final embrace with nature before heading home.

🌞 Why at sunrise:
The ascent to the crater is planned for early morning not only for the magic of the light, but also for practical reasons:
During the central hours of the day, the summer heat on Vulcano can become intense, especially on lava terrain.
Departing at dawn ensures a safer and more comfortable experience, avoiding the risk of heat exhaustion while enjoying a fresher and more pleasant temperature.
