From the coast to the inland
The sea remains the starting point and the true core of the experience.
The Tenuta represents a natural extension of the day at sea: an opportunity to read the same territory from a different perspective — moving from the coastline to the inland, from landscapes observed from the water to places experienced directly on land.
Each proposal is designed to integrate seamlessly with the rhythm of the navigation, taking into account the season, the light and the preferences of the guests.

Lipari: an island that unfolds beyond its coast
Lipari is often described through its maritime profile: cliffs, caves, sea stacks and inlets that, when seen from the water, immediately reveal the island’s volcanic character.
Alongside this coastal dimension, however, the inland preserves a layered agricultural landscape, shaped by lava soils, open exposures to the archipelago and a long-standing relationship between people and land. The Castellaro plain, in the northern part of the island, is one of the places where this relationship remains clearly legible. Historically devoted to vine cultivation, it is an area where soil composition, constant ventilation and the influence of the sea come together to create a remarkably balanced agricultural environment. |
Tenuta di CastellaroTenuta di Castellaro is a contemporary winemaking project developed within this geographical and cultural context.
The vineyards extend across volcanic soils, following the natural contours of the land, while the winery is set into the landscape through an essential architectural design, conceived to dialogue with its surroundings without altering their perception. The project focuses on the enhancement of grape varieties historically linked to the Aeolian Islands, with wine interpreted as a direct expression of place. The experiences offered by the Tenuta — vineyard visits, tastings and food-and-wine paths — allow guests to explore these elements on site, through an approach that is rigorous yet accessible. |
The vineyard and the winesViticulture at the Tenuta develops on lava-based soils, marked by strong mineral character and a microclimate constantly influenced by the presence of the sea.
Production focuses primarily on the archipelago’s indigenous grape varieties, interpreted in a contemporary style while remaining respectful of Aeolian tradition. The white wines offer a clear reading of volcanic soil, combining balance and tension; the reds maintain measured structure, favouring finesse and drinkability. Malvasia delle Lipari stands as one of the territory’s most recognisable expressions, presented here in a version that balances aromatic intensity and freshness, without excess. |
Castellaro Bistrot
Alongside vineyard and cellar activities, the Tenuta hosts the Castellaro Bistrot, conceived as a natural extension of the winemaking project.
The culinary offering is designed in coherence with both the wines and the island’s agricultural context, favouring carefully selected ingredients and essential pairings.

How the experiences are organised
Eoliana × Tenuta di Castellaro experiences are coordinated paths, not unified services.Navigation is managed by Eoliana, while land-based activities are curated directly by the Tenuta, with full respect for the identity and specificity of each project.
